Good questions. Shading is OK as long as it is very light. I usually assume the shaded areas get cut out. I hope I'm never wrong on this. I guess I'd find out pretty quick. I usually just follow the lines so shading isn't real important to me.

Hi John, I think, for newcomer it is easer to get an pattern how was shaded. And when, than so, that the stays area are shaded. But that is a matter of taste. It is right what Dan write. It is easer to find the cutting areas.
John, After printing the sample it looks like it would be easier to cut with the shading. I think it would be easier to see in the very "busy" areas. I don't usually cut too many patterns with shading but a light shading would not be too distracting. Just my opinion. Ray
I agree with Ray. I printed the pattern and it's easy to see that the shaded area stays. I will do a little cutting tomorrow and see what how it works. I do like the thin lines. I've cut patterns with thicker lines and it's harder to keep straight lines straight, at least for me.

After putting the pattern to the saw, I found the shading does not effect the way I cut. The shading is light enough to contrast the dark lines so I can follow them quite well. So, you get two thumbs up from me for shading the patterns.

I prefer shaded patterns, and the folks who use my patterns tend to want them shaded with a thin line, and light color, so that it is easier to see the blade. Connie
John, I went to your sight yesterday, and got lost. I just had to stay awhile and lookie loo at every thing. then I got kicked off for some reason. my pc I think. anyway. I have to agree with you and Connie. Evie
